Warehouse Manager Job

Duties

• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board and company policies
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations of the warehouse
• Set up the layout and ensure efficient space utilization when there are bulk receipts and other receiptsInitiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures in the warehouse
• Maintain acceptable standards of health and safety, hygiene and securityManage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Sort out customer issues associated with store (returns, damages, etc.)Facilitate for stock recountsEnsure that the physical and system stock matchEnsure that no expiries are on the shelves
• Ensure that a record of controlled drugs is updated and consistently maintained

Competencies:

• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong knowledge of warehousing
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict
• Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
• Good interpersonal skills
• Exceptional time management and organization skills
• In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Supply Chain Management
• 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical warehouse – a MUST
• Professional Certification in Supply Chain – desirable
