Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and management of all transportation operations to ensure efficiency and smooth workflow.
- Enhance operational effectiveness while promoting a positive customer experience.
- Drive steady revenue growth by optimizing transport processes and minimizing operational costs.
- Ensure optimal utilization of company resources, including staff, fleet, and other operational assets.
- Assess operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance and continuity.
- Provide accurate and timely reports to management, ensuring clear visibility of departmental performance.
- Offer insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making at the leadership level.
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work culture within the transport department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related.
- Relevant experience 3-5 years.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of transport regulations (Kenyan and Regional).
- Familiarity with transport systems e.g. Fleetio, ITMS.
