Job Description

  • Install, test, service, and maintain electrical systems and related equipment, with emphasis on cold rooms, air conditioners and freezers,
  • Service and maintain cold room equipment including compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion valves, power panels, and refrigeration gas systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults to minimize downtime and production losses
  • Monitor power supply and power factor(PF) regularly to ensure system efficiency
  • Optimize machine uptime and performance by identifying and correcting deviations
  • Maintain and manage an inventory of critical spare parts to prevent production disruptions

Requirements

  • Diploma or Higher National Diploma(HND) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 4 years’ hands-on experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
  • Practical experience with Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning(HVAC) and cold room systems, including compressors, evaporators, chillers, and refrigeration gas handling
  • Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers(PLCs)(Allen Bradley/Siemens), Human-Machine Interface(HMI) and Variable Frequency Drive(VFDs)
  • Strong skills in three-phase electrical systems (up to 110kW), motor starters(Direct Online Starter(DOL), Star Delta, VFD), and interpretation of electrical diagrams
