Manager is responsible for managing the transportation and logistics operations, leading the team, managing the vehicles and fleet while ensuring safety and compliance to a number of standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Management & Leadership:
- Oversee the daily management, task allocation, performance evaluation, and skill development of the transportation department team.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and retain key talent to build a highly efficient, professional, and dedicated core operations team.
- Establish clear communication channels and reporting mechanisms to ensure team objectives are aligned with company strategy.
Vehicle & Fleet Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance and repair programs to ensure all vehicles remain in optimal operating condition.
- Manage fleet assets (trucks, trailers, etc.), monitor vehicle utilization, fuel efficiency, and
- lifecycle costs to optimize return on assets.
- Oversee all compliance-related activities for vehicles, including insurance, road tax, annual
- inspections, and regulations of the Kenya Regulatory.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven Team Management Experience: Must possess a minimum of 3 years of
- experience directly managing teams of 5 or more members. Demonstrated excellence in
- leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to effectively
- motivate diverse teams is essential.
- Professional Vehicle & Transport Management Expertise: Must have in-depth knowledge
- of fleet management (including vehicle maintenance, Transportation Management
- Systems – TMS, and cost control) and transport logistics operations (including route
- planning, dispatch, and third-party supplier management). Familiarity with the technical
- specifications of heavy commercial vehicles will be a distinct advantage.
- 3. 5+ Years of Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years of cumulative relevant work
- experience in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain management sectors is
- required, of which at least 3 years must have been in a managerial capacity.
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisive
- judgments in high-pressure environments.
- Result-driven with a strong attention to detail, possessing robust organizational and
- project management capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of the local Kenyan business environment, transportation
- regulations, and cultural context.
