Our client, specializing in local distribution, international trade, and logistics of chemicals, is seeking to hire a Senior Tax Accountant to oversee tax matters and ensure regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Taxation:

• Ensure compliance with VAT, withholding tax (WH Tax, WH VAT WH Rent), and tax entries.
• Take lead in KRA Tax audits.
• Review corporate documentation (contractual intercompany agreements, transfer pricing, AGM resolutions) that is relevant for tax audits
• IFRS tax reporting, Group tax computation & quarterly tax reporting package.
• Tax computations
• Draft the Financial statements 
• Internal Audit/checks.
• Process tax payments accurately and within regulatory deadlines.
• Update and share Tax pack with the management monthly.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Approval of Sales orders in ERP (D365)
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the Accounting and Backoffice Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in Accounting, taxation, or related financial roles.
• Experience handling KRA audits is a must
• Proficiency in financial software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Solid understanding of tax regulations, particularly VAT, withholding taxes, corporation tax & itax navigation.
• Experience in inventory management and stock valuation is a plus.
