Senior Registrar – Paediatric Cardiology Job Mater Misericordiae Hospital
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing pediatric cardiology patients and instructing in writing and ensuring all orders are
- carried out under supervision of Consultant Pediatric Cardiologists
- Undertaking on-call duties including clerking, investigating and managing patients
- Conducting ward rounds, clinics and theatre days as scheduled/directed
- Conducting medical research as needed
- Training, supervising and mentoring Medical Officer Interns and Medical Officers
- Undertaking medical examinations and preparing Medical Reports
- Participating in continuous professional development activities
- Referring patients to other medical specialists for further diagnosis of complex or unclear
- disorders or diseases
- Any other duties assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized institution
- Master of Medicine in Pediatrics and Child Health from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing Pediatric Cardiology sub-specialization
- Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
- Valid Practice License
- Professional Indemnity Cover
- Proficiency in computer applications
