We’re seeking a seasoned Network Automation Engineer with proven expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Fortinet. This contract role offers flexibility — you can contribute on either a part-time or full-time basis while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and automate AWS networking environments using Terraform and Terragrunt
- Deploy and maintain hub-and-spoke topologies with Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and BGP
- Configure, secure, and optimize Fortinet firewalls, SD-WAN, and VPN solutions
- Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules to accelerate deployments
- Partner with DevOps teams and external vendors to resolve advanced networking challenges
- Produce clear documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides for ongoing operations
Required Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53)
- Proficiency in Fortinet firewall administration (CLI, policy creation, and management)
- Deep understanding of BGP/OSPF protocols and high-availability network design
- Proven skills in Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and Git-based workflows
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, GitLab, or similar)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of SIP/VoIP protocols
- Experience with network monitoring and observability tools
- Background in public safety or mission-critical infrastructure
