Senior Finance Specialist Job. Finance Jobs In Kenya

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/ACCA qualification preferred.
  • 3~ 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a managerial capacity.
  • Extensive experience in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, auditing, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior management and external stakeholders.

Oversight of Financial Operations:

  • Supervise and review the work of the Finance Assistant and Intern, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support in resolving financial discrepancies and challenges.

Auditing and Control:

  • Conduct internal audits of financial records and transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.

Budget Oversight:

  • Develop and monitor annual budgets for all departments, ensuring financial discipline and proper cost management.
  • Review and approve budget allocations and ensure financial targets are met.

DMC Management:

  • Oversee financial aspects of Destination Management Company (DMC) operations, including cost management, reporting, and financial controls.

Payroll and Statutory Compliance:

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory deductions such as NSSF, PAYE, and NHIF.
  • Ensure that all regulatory payments are made on time and accurately.

Finance SOP Management:

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce financial standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the department.

Park Fees Schedule Management:

  • Approve park fee schedules, ensuring they align with operational requirements and market conditions.

Asset and Liquidity Management:

  • Evaluate and manage asset financing options and liquidity, ensuring the company has sufficient funds to meet operational needs.
  • Oversee financial agreements such as fuel cards and bank facilities and any other financial contract.

Invoice and VAT Oversight:

  • Review and approve invoices and VAT submissions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Company Resource Analysis:

  • Conduct periodic analysis of core resources (vehicles, equipment, etc.) and provide strategic recommendations for resource optimization and cost reduction.
