Senior Economist / Statistician I Job County Government of Kitui

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

  • Be a Citizen of Kenya;
  • Served at the level of Senior Economist II/Senior Statistician II, Job Group ‘M’ for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Economics and Mathematics or Economics and Statistics from a recognized institution;
  • Demonstrated administrative and professional competence in executing work at this level; and
  • Attained qualifications in Economics or Statistics of at least Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil.) level or their equivalent recognized qualifications.

  • Supervision of several Economists I/Statisticians I;
  • Assisting in formulation of economic and statistical policies; and
  • Initiation, implementation and appraisal of national, rural or urban development strategies and projects.

Candidates should complete one KCPSB 2 Employment form. The completed KCPSB 2 Employment form, together with certified copies of applicant’s National Identity Card, professional certificates, academic certificates and transcripts, should be submitted to the Kitui County Public Service Board jobs portal on or before Wednesday 4th February, 2026.
