We’re looking for a Senior Analyst – Research to join our Nairobi team. This role is ideal for an analytical professional with strong financial and market research skills who wants to influence high-profile transactions and provide decision-shaping insights to clients and leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct deep-dive market, industry, and sector research across African and global markets
- Track economic, regulatory, and competitive trends to anticipate shifts impacting investments
- Analyze financials, valuations, and key performance metrics of companies and sectors
- Build and maintain financial models, comps, and transaction analyses
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for advisory teams and C-suite clients
- Prepare high-quality research reports, investment notes, and presentations
- Support live transactions and pitches by validating assumptions and providing data-driven perspectives
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to developing robust research methodologies
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (CFA/CPA/ACCA is a plus)
- 3–5 years’ experience in equity/debt research, investment banking, corporate finance, or consulting
- Strong valuation, modeling, and quantitative analysis skills
- Ability to distill complex research into clear, actionable insights
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and research/analytics tools
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with tight deadlines
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and share knowledge
