Position: Safety Specialist

- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, or a related construction discipline
- Valid Safety Certification (OSHA / DOSH or equivalent)
- Minimum of 1 year proven experience in construction site safety (mandatory)
Core Competencies & General Requirements
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety standards, procedures, and legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel)
- Solid understanding of construction site operations and high-risk activities
- Physically fit and capable of working under active site conditions
- High level of discipline, integrity, accountability, and teamwork
- Excellent communication and safety enforcement skills
- Willingness to comply with company policies, site rules, and project schedules
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for site personnel
- Identify, assess, and control workplace hazards and unsafe acts
- Carry out routine and special site safety inspections and audits
- Monitor high-risk activities and issue work permits and approvals where required
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare corrective action reports
- Maintain and update safety records, registers, and inspection reports
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, drills, and first-aid readiness on site
- Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe work procedures
- Liaise with site management, contractors, and workers on safety-related matters
