The Research Assistant will be tasked to conduct research and collate findings mainly on topics on but not limited Mental Health and as maybe guided. They will report to the Research Associate. This role will be a hybrid and of a fixed contractual nature.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and performing but not limited to qualitative research.
  • Conducting desktop research, and using books, journal articles, newspaper sources, questionnaires, surveys, polls, and interviews to gather data.
  • Interpreting research specifications and developing a work plan that satisfies requirements.
  • Analyzing and interpreting patterns and trends.
  • Anticipating research issues and promptly resolving them.
  • Following a strict code of ethics and protecting any confidential information at all times.
  • Present research results to the team.
  • Use research results to write reports, papers and reviews and present findings in journals and conferences.
  • Collaborate with research teams, industry stakeholders and government agencies.
  • Writing proposals and delivering presentations when required.
  • Promptly reporting any problems to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Assisting management with budget and time schedules.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
  • 1-2 years Proven experience in a research field particularly in qualitative research.
  • Statistical and mathematical aptitude will be an added advantage.
  • Sound understanding of research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Analytical abilities to be able to interest the information collected.
  • Strong statistical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Practical experience in database management.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
