Are you a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor with a passion for precision and excellence? Our client is seeking a dedicated Registered Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Nairobi. Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural plans and determine quantity needs
- Estimate costs of materials and labor for construction projects
- Prepare contracts, tender documents, and cost analysis reports
- Set and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and update forecasts
- Negotiate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Advise clients on construction improvements, strategies, and cost estimates
- Monitor project progress and prepare comprehensive reports
- Ensure compliance with property taxes, regulations, and local construction laws
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, site managers, and contractors
- Utilize software to track inventory, costs, and project milestones
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution
- Registered with the relevant professional body and holds a valid practising license
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills
- Solid knowledge of construction practices and cost control
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
