Our client is a leading real estate company based in Nairobi, Kenya. They are committed to delivering bespoke property solutions that align with their clients’ financial goals and aspirations—whether in residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

Beyond real estate sales, they are actively involved in the development of shopping malls, commercial buildings, and integrated urban projects designed to enhance city infrastructure and elevate standards of living.

Project Planning & Feasibility

  • Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies.
  • Develop project execution plans, timelines, and resource schedules.
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.

Procurement & Contract Management

  • Prepare tender documents, lead procurement processes, and evaluate bids.
  • Negotiate and award contracts to ensure value for money.
  • Administer contracts, manage variations, claims, and change orders.

Financial & Cost Control

  • Monitor expenditures and maintain accurate cost control.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, financial reports, and project summaries.
  • Conduct value engineering and lifecycle costing.
  • Maintain benchmarking and cost databases.

Project Execution & Coordination

  • Supervise project activities to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Lead progress meetings and report to stakeholders.

Quality, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with Kenyan laws, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols and oversee inspections.

Post-Project Analysis

  • Finalize accounts and conduct cost analysis to capture lessons learned.
  • Recommend improvements for future project delivery.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Mentor junior team members and promote a performance-driven culture.
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Membership with RICS, IQSK, or a recognized equivalent (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 9 years proven experience in quantity surveying within the real estate sector is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and standard contracts (e.g., FIDIC).
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
