Quality Control Manager Job PZ Cussons
Job Purpose
The Quality Manager ensures that all raw materials, packaging, and finished products meet PZ Cussons’ quality standards, safety regulations, and consumer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Systems: Maintain and improve the factory’s Quality Management System in line with ISO standards.
- Testing & Inspection: Oversee the laboratory testing (chemical and microbiological) of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Product Launches: Partner with R&D and packaging teams to support new product trials and ensure smooth production launches.
- Audits & Compliance: Lead internal and external quality audits, managing corrective actions (CAPAs) for any gaps found.
- SAP Management: Use SAP (QM module) to manage material inspections, batch releases, and non-conformance logs.
- Consumer Complaints: Investigate product complaints from consumers, find the root cause, and implement fixes to prevent reoccurrence.
- Team Training: Train and coach factory operators and laboratory technicians on good manufacturing practices.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control within an FMCG (Personal Care, Hygiene, or Cosmetics) environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong practical experience with SAP-QM and ISO standards.
- Key Traits: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and great communication skills.
