Duty Station: Migori Field Office
Reports to: Director of Programs and Partnerships, Betty Adera Foundation
Supervises: Field Office Assistant
Contract Duration: 11 months (renewable based on performance and funding)
Level of Effort: 100% (Full-time)

Role Overview

The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of the Young Women Innovation &
Skills for Enterprise (Y-WISE) project in Suna West Sub-County. The role involves
coordinating day-to-day project activities, managing the field team, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of results, in alignment with donor and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume overall responsibility of project implementation and reporting
  • Oversee the establishment and operations of the Y-WISE Innovation/ICT Hub.
  • Coordinate digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and financial training sessions.
  • Supervise the Field Assistant and Community Mentors, ensuring quality implementation.
  • Liaise with local government, TVETs, and community structures.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports, budgets, and activity plans as per project templates.
  • Coordinate communication between mentors, trainees, and community stakeholders.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities in liaison with the M&E Officer.
  • Ensure safeguarding, gender inclusion, and disability access standards are upheld.
  • Assume overall responsibility over project assets in the Field Office and ICT HUB.
  • Support local procurements of commodities in liaison with then Finance Officer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, ICT, Education, or
  • related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in youth or women’s empowerment projects.
  • Proven experience coordinating donor-funded programs at community level.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in ICT, digital tools, and data management systems.
