Job Summary

The Production Team Lead will assist in the day-to-day running of production by efficiently utilizing resources such as inventory, manpower, and machinery. The role is key in challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement in production processes. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for managing and developing their direct reports to ensure high performance and compliance with quality standards.

  • Create workflow plans and schedules for the packing department based on the production plan.
  • Minimize machine downtime by coordinating with maintenance teams and supporting operator training.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce defects and improve production performance.
  • Ensure proper and timely production documentation in compliance with cGMP and data integrity requirements.
  • Work with Engineering on preventative maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Review production records to support timely release of finished goods.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports against key production metrics.
  • Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Enforce adherence to SOPs, cGMP, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Guide, mentor, and monitor shop-floor staff, identifying training needs and supporting HR processes.
  • Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technical field, or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a busy manufacturing facility, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/ team lead role. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, cGMP, and reporting of key metrics.
  • Ethical, reliable, collaborative, and innovative.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent people management and coaching ability.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
