Our client is a leading middle-level academic and professional training institution in Kenya, based in Nairobi with campuses in Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru, are looking for an experienced College Principal to join their dynamic team of vibrant professionals at the college. The College Principal will be based at Nairobi Head Quarters with periodical travel to their campuses.

Responsibilities: 

• Leadership & Management of the College and consultancy firm on behalf of the Board
• Ensure governance principles  of the college are followed to the letter 
• Ensure financial viability of the college 
• Implementation of Board Projects and ensuring the Board is appraised of the College operations
• Administration of Board Meetings – will sit on the Board as the Board Secretary 
• Appraising the College Board on new developments in the Education and Training Sector in the country
• Perform the role of the college Accounting Officer and ensure prudent management of the college finances within the Budget
• Recruitment of all staff save for the senior management which will be the resolve of the Board 
• Branding:  Be the face of the college  and ensure its effective  visibility 
• Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Board 

Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration/Management or Educational Institution Management
• Professional qualifications: HRM/Education/Business Management/CHRP
• At least 10 years of work experience in a similar institution of which at least 5 should be in a senior management position with a proven track record of good performance
• Experience in managing a reputable tertiary institution preferred
• Doctoral qualification in a business-related area would be an added advantage
