JOB LOCATION: KITENGELA

Job description: oversees all daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations (OSHA) are met. Key duties include scheduling, managing labor and equipment maintenance, reducing waste, and coordinating with project management to deliver precast concrete products on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Management: Plan and direct daily production schedules for beams, blocks, and custom products, optimizing workflow and efficiency.
• Safety & Compliance: Establish a “Zero Harm” culture, enforcing OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Quality Control: Partner with QA teams to minimize defects, rework, and waste.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor personnel, including supervising production supervisors and maintenance staff.
• Maintenance & Asset Management: Oversee machinery procurement, installation, and preventative maintenance.
• Cost Control: Manage budgeting, raw material inventory, and labor costs to maximize profitability. 

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, ideally in precast concrete or construction, with strong leadership skills.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of concrete production, batching, and, in some cases, pre-stressed technology.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Tools: Proficiency in MS Office/Excel and scheduling software.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
