Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Peace and Security Consultant Trainer to deliver specialized training and capacity-building services focused exclusively on establishing and maintaining effective peace and security management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver training on best practices, ethical standards, and data management in child protection case management.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to enhance skills in identification, registration, assessment, planning, monitoring, and closure of child protection cases.
- Provide guidance on confidential documentation and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
- Facilitate collaboration with government agencies, communities, and partners for effective referrals and child protection services.
- Monitor and evaluate training outcomes and recommend improvements.
- Prepare training materials, case management monitoring reports, and contribute to evaluation processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Security Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in peacebuilding, security management, or a related consultancy or training role.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering training programs on peace and security topics.
- Strong knowledge of peace and security frameworks, conflict analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience working in complex environments, including humanitarian or development contexts.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and advocacy skills.
- Proven ability to develop training materials and deliver capacity-building workshops effectively.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Somali or other relevant local languages is an advantage.
