Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Peace and Security Consultant Trainer to deliver specialized training and capacity-building services focused exclusively on establishing and maintaining effective peace and security management systems.

  • Design and deliver training on best practices, ethical standards, and data management in child protection case management.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to enhance skills in identification, registration, assessment, planning, monitoring, and closure of child protection cases.
  • Provide guidance on confidential documentation and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
  • Facilitate collaboration with government agencies, communities, and partners for effective referrals and child protection services.
  • Monitor and evaluate training outcomes and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare training materials, case management monitoring reports, and contribute to evaluation processes.
  • Advanced degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Security Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in peacebuilding, security management, or a related consultancy or training role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering training programs on peace and security topics.
  • Strong knowledge of peace and security frameworks, conflict analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience working in complex environments, including humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and advocacy skills.
  • Proven ability to develop training materials and deliver capacity-building workshops effectively.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Somali or other relevant local languages is an advantage.
