Qona Sacco Society Ltd is a fast-growing deposit-taking Sacco committed to providing innovative, reliable, and member-focused financial solutions. We are seeking to recruit a competent and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Network Administrator to support and enhance our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Management

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi Fi).
• Ensure stable connectivity across all branches, data centers, and remote access points.
• Monitor network performance and resolve outages promptly.

Network Security & Compliance

• Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security tools.
• Enforce cybersecurity standards in line with SASRA, CBK, and Data Protection Act requirements.
• Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and initiate remediation actions.

User Access & Identity Management

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication policies.
• Maintain Active Directory, group policies, and multi factor authentication solutions.
• Enforce least privilege access principles.

Monitoring & Incident Response

• Monitor network logs, alerts, and traffic for anomalies.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and lead response to security incidents.
• Document incidents and perform root cause analysis.

Backup, Redundancy & Continuity

• Maintain redundant network paths, backup links, and high availability configurations.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Back up and secure configuration files for critical devices.

Support for SACCO Core Systems

• Provide network support for CBS, mobile banking, CRM, ERP, and agency/ATM systems.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve system related connectivity issues.

Documentation & Asset Management

• Maintain updated network diagrams, IP addressing plans, and configuration documentation.
• Track network hardware inventory, warranties, and lifecycle planning.

Policy Development & Enforcement

• Develop and enforce ICT security, acceptable use, and disaster recovery policies.
• Promote adherence to ICT standards across the SACCO.

Capacity Planning & Optimization

• Analyze network utilization and recommend upgrades or optimizations.
• Plan for expansion based on SACCO growth projections.

Training & Support

• Provide technical support on network and security issues.
• Conduct cybersecurity awareness trainings for staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in network administration or a similar role.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Experience in managing firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise network security tools.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols.
• Experience with cloud networking and virtualization is desirable.
