Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB / MBBS) from an institution recognized by KMPDC.
- Postgraduate Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Medicine (MMed), Public Health, Health Systems Management, or Business/Healthcare Administration is highly desirable.
- Professional Licensure: Valid, active practice license and current annual retention certificate from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of active clinical practice, with a proven track record of at least 3–5 years serving in a senior administrative role (e.g., Medical Superintendent, Deputy, or Head of Clinical Services) within a busy multi-specialty regional or secondary referral health facility.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional team leadership capacities, conflict resolution skills, functional healthcare economic literacy, and advanced proficiency managing Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS).
