About the role

We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Lead to own and drive Spindle’s brand, voice, and presence—online and offline. You’ll shape our narrative, build our content engine, and strategic position. The Marketing Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, creating engaging content for multiple platforms, managing social media accounts, conducting market research, and ensuring brand consistency across all communications.

This is a builder role. We’re looking for someone who is hands-on to craft stories, create energy, and drive visibility that leads to growth.

Strategic Communications

  • Craft and implement a communications strategy aligned with our global and regional goals
  • Refine and evolve Spindle’s brand narrative, voice, and visual identity
  • Develop a messaging framework that resonates with our core audiences: clients, partners, and talent
  • Build internal brand alignment

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Develop editorial content (case stories, blog posts, POVs) that reflect our values and insights across LinkedIn, newsletters, blogs, media and more.
  • Translate our stories from across the team’s work and turn them into powerful, engaging content through papers, webinars and ecosystem events.
  • Create & manage a regular publishing cadence that keeps us relevant and top-of-mind
  • Lead creation of marketing & PR initiatives that align with business goals

Community & Engagement

  • Build relationships with partners, ecosystem actors, collaborators, and media
  • Run events on and offline
  • Activate Spindle’s team as brand ambassadors

Who You Are

  • Experienced marketer or communicator (5+ years), ideally with B2B background
  • An exceptional writer and visual storyteller
  • Skilled in content strategy, community engagement, and brand building
  • Aligned with Spindle’s mission and commitment to inclusive innovation
  • Tech / Digital innovation savvy
  • A self-starter, execution oriented person who thrives in environments where you can build ground up
  • Bonus: experience in a creative agency, consultancy, or social enterprise
