Manager- Corporate Communications Job GDC
Key Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail: –
- Providing technical leadership to teams in the department to enable them to develop, implement and evaluate strategic management plans and budgets aimed at improving performance and meeting set targets.
- Coordinating departmental planning, budgeting and procurement plans.
- Facilitating capacity building of staff within the department
- Implementing the GDC brand promotion and public relations programs
- Developing communication strategies for the company
- Overseeing and managing external communication including public relations, event management, social media, and reputation management.
- Coordinating developing and disseminating information externally through various communications channels
- Oversee external customer experience.
Qualifications
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience four (4) of which must have been in a managerial role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Mass Media, Journalism, Journalism and Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Communication and Public relations, Community Development, Social Sciences, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Mass Media, Journalism, Journalism and Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Communication and Public relations, Community Development, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Management course lasting not less four (4) weeks (cumulative).
- Membership of PRSK, MSK any relevant professional body/institute.
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Fulfilled the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
