Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Be a Citizen of Kenya;
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C plain with at least a C- (Minus) in Mathematics and English/Kiswahili or its approved equivalent; and
- Diploma in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Writing and testing simple computer programs according to instructions and specifications;
- Assisting in the implementation of the computer systems;
- Providing user support and training of users;
- Repairs and maintenance of ICT equipment and associated peripherals;
- Monitoring the performance of ICT equipment; and
- Reporting any faults for further action

Candidates should complete one KCPSB 2 Employment form. The completed KCPSB 2 Employment form, together with certified copies of applicant’s National Identity Card, professional certificates, academic certificates and transcripts, should be submitted to the Kitui County Public Service Board jobs portal on or before Wednesday 4th February, 2026.
