Responsibility Summary:
- Continuously identify potential institutions, parastatals, Government ministries, and monitor Institutional and developmental agency relationships to ensure that clients are satisfied.
- Market for suitable growth and overall stability on the liabilities and asset of Bank’s balance sheet through growth of current account/collection business, and wholesale deposits from institutional clients.
- Keep abreast of developments in the market; aware of projects to be carried out by Parastatals, Government ministries and Developmental Agencies.
- Be familiar with trends within the banking industry and particularly the industry/sectors of each institution, to respond to various current and future needs of the institutions.
- Identify and develop new business proposals efficiently and expeditiously to ensure that potential new business is secured by the bank.
- Keep in touch with Developmental Agencies, Government ministries and Treasury, to ensure that they are kept abreast to the positive developments within the Ba
Academic & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or related field.
- Formal training in lending and relationship management.
- AKIB or ACIB or Business-related professional qualification (added advantage).
- At least 8 years of experience, 4 years in a managerial role in business development either in Institutional Banking or Corporate Medium size SME.
- Strong knowledge of local banking industry, banking products, banking services and banking regulations.

- Ability to adapt quickly to new and diverse environments.
- Visionary leadership and strategic oversight.
- Ability to understand and manage team’s and self’s emotions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships.
- Sound financial management skills and proficiency in analyzing financial data.
- Effective communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
- High integrity, professionalism and proactive approach.
