A well-established 4-star city hotel in Nairobi is seeking to appoint an experienced, commercially driven, and dynamic General Manager to lead its operations. The ideal candidate will bring international exposure, with proven experience in a similar role within Dubai or Europe and a strong track record in delivering operational excellence and revenue growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, financial
performance, and day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring high standards of service,
guest satisfaction, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the hotel’s operations.
- Drive revenue growth across all departments including rooms, F&B, and conferencing.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences aligned with the hotel’s brand standards.
- Develop and implement annual business plans, budgets, and performance targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the executive team and departmental heads.
- Oversee financial performance, cost control, and profitability, owners, and partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, owners and partners.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health, safety, and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for business development, brand positioning, and market growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3-5 years as
- a General Manager or in a senior leadership role.
- Strong international experience in Dubai or Europe in a similar capacity is essential.
- Proven track record in managing 4-star or upscale city hotels.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A results-oriented professional with strong operational and strattegic capabilities.
