Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and creative direction across collections, silhouettes, and seasonal storytelling
- Design and develop seasonal, capsule, and limited-edition collections aligned with brand DNA
- Manage the full design process from concept through sampling to final production
- Translate concepts into hand sketches, CAD designs, tech packs, and production drawings
- Select fabrics, trims, and finishes with a strong understanding of fit and garment construction
- Cost out all components required for garment production and assess feasibility with production teams
- Oversee first samples, fittings, and final production quality.
- Present concepts, mood boards, colour stories, and samples internally
- Maintain, update, and store tech packs and patterns for all designs
- Communicate design intent clearly with vendors and production partners
- Conduct market research to identify new design opportunities relevant to our customer base
- Build and maintain a structured design idea bank aligned with brand and commercial goals
- Design with a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) mindset, incorporating customer feedback and performance insights
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or related field
- Minimum 1+ year experience in fashion or apparel design
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Marvelous Designer.
- Ability to sketch by hand and translate ideas into production-ready designs
- Strong sense of style, colour, and trend interpretation
- Solid understanding of fabrics, fit, and garment construction
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Experience working with DTC or apparel-focused fashion brands
