Engineering Jobs, North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency Jobs.

The successful candidates will be reporting to the Senior Engineer and be responsible for water and sanitation infrastructure planning, design, development and supervision of projects. The appointment will be on permanent terms, subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities are:

  • Collecting data for developing investment proposals that will secure continued and sustained funding of projects and activities;
  • Collecting data for developing and reviewing water and sanitation master plans for the Institution area of jurisdiction;
  • Drafting of tender documents;
  • Identify new water and sanitation projects;
  • Participating in stakeholder Consultations/engagement;
  • Carrying out project feasibility studies;
  • Designing water and sanitation projects;
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports;
  • Preparing performance management reports;
  • Researching on new technologies for water and sanitation;

Qualifications and Work experience

The successful candidate must have/be: –

  • A minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Water Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Registered by the Engineers Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
  • Fulfills the provision of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Successful applicants will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of Kenya Constitution 2010 by submitting copies of the following documents upon request;

  • Certificate of Good Conduct from the Director of Criminal Investigations;
  • Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board;
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority;
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; and
  • Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau.
