Duties and responsibilities will entail: –
- Carrying out editorial activities on received manuscripts;
- Lay out, typeset and design the edited manuscripts;
- Proofreading final copy to eliminate typographical errors;
- Preparing any editorial comments or suggestions on the manuscript;
- Implementing design briefs;
- Implementing the publication policies and procedures;
- Participating in compiling the Institutes reports;
- Developing content for publicity and promotional materials;
- Developing content for the website;
- Facilitating the drafting of media articles and other communication messages; and
- Creating awareness and providing support on house style manual.

Job Specification
Position Summary :- The purpose of Editor; is to carry out editorial activities and lay out typeset and design the edited manuscripts; Proof read and prepare editorial comments and ensure all the institute publications meet all the set standards.
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Information Science, Publishing, Communication, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Professional qualification and affiliation;
- Computer Skills in desktop publishing software; and
- Fulfil the requirement of chapter six (6) of the constitution.
