Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V. and its partners work with vulnerable communities to achieve sustainable food and nutrition security. Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V. Kenya is currently seeking to recruit qualified and motivated personnel as listed below contingent upon the final approval of funding. The duty station will be either Lokitaung or Lodwar.
Qualifications
To qualify as a driver, one must possess the following:
- Minimum of O-Level education in KCSE and above
- Must be a member of Turkana Driver’s Association in good standing
- Valid driver’s license which is accident free
- Valid certificate of good conduct
- At least 3–4 years of progressive work experience, NGO experience is an advantage
- Experience working in ASAL areas
- Good knowledge of local language and areas around implementation
- Knowledge of defensive driving – certificate
- First Aid certificate – not older than 3 years
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing schedules, routes or situations
- Understanding of safety and security protocols when transporting staff and project goods
