For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have: –

  • Cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience three (3) years of which should have been at the grade of Assistant Director, Planning or in a comparable position;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation or its equivalent from a university recognized in Kenya;
  • Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Project Management, Strategic Management, Monitoring and Evaluation or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized in Kenya;
  • Membership to a relevant professional body / institution;
  • Certificate in Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Demonstrated professional competence and ability to work performance and results.

Successful candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and shall be required to present the following documents before the offer letter.

  • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (TCC);
  • Certificate of clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
  • Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
  • Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
  • Clearance certificate from approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
