About the Client

Our client in Healthcare Sector is seeking an experienced Dentist who will provide quality and comprehensive Oral healthcare and Dental Services.

The job holder will provide quality oral health care through the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and conditions affecting the teeth, mouth, and related structures, and to promote oral health within the community.

Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth, gums, and mouth.
• Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
• Conduct tooth extractions, root canal treatments, and other surgical procedures.
• Administer anesthesia and manage pain control during dental procedures.
• Manage dental emergencies and provide appropriate referrals for specialized care.
• Monitor and maintain oral health of patients through regular follow-ups.

Preventive and Promotive Services

• Conduct oral health education sessions for patients and the community.
• Promote oral hygiene practices and preventive measures such as fluoride application and sealants.
• Participate in community oral health outreach and screening programs.
• Collaborate with other health professionals in disease prevention and health promotion activities.

Administrative and Supervisory Duties

• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of treatments.
• Supervise and mentor dental staff and trainees where applicable.
• Ensure availability and proper maintenance of dental instruments and materials.
• Enforce infection prevention and control measures within the dental clinic.
• Prepare and submit regular dental service reports to the relevant authorities.

Professional Development and Research

• Participate in continuous training programs.
• Keep updated with current trends and innovations in dentistry.
• Participate in oral health research and data collection for policy and planning purposes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Registration: Registered and licensed by the relevant Dental Council or regulatory authority.
• At least 2-5 years of post-internship experience in clinical dentistry
