Cost & Tax Accounting Job FullCare

The role will be responsible for managing product costing, cost analysis, inventory accounting, payroll processing, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will ensure accurate cost accounting, timely statutory compliance, and support management in driving cost optimization and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate product costings and process monthly cost accounting in the ERP/SAP system.
• Collect, analyze, and report cost data, including production costs, inventory, gross profit, and material consumption.
• Prepare monthly cost analysis reports and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
• Monitor production material usage, identify cost variances, investigate abnormalities, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate monthly inventory stock counts, reconcile inventory variances, and prepare inventory reports.
• Review slow-moving and obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate actions.
• Process payroll accurately and ensure timely compliance with statutory deductions and employee-related taxes.
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns while ensuring compliance with Kenyan tax laws and regulations.
• Perform bank reconciliations, maintain fixed asset records, and ensure proper filing of finance documents.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and assist with audits and other finance-related assignments.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ proven work experience in Cost Accounting, Tax Accounting, or a similar accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA (K) qualification or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and Kenyan tax regulations.
• Experience using SAP or other ERP accounting systems is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office application
• Ability to meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities with accuracy and integrity.
