Consultant Paediatrician Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion child-centred care standards, ensuring patient safety, data protection, and family engagement at every stage.
- Conduct thorough outpatient and inpatient paediatric consultations, formulating evidence-based management plans, and coordinating follow-up care.
- Perform and interpret essential paediatric diagnostic procedures and liaise with subspecialists when necessary.
- Mentor junior clinicians and participate in continuous medical education (CME) programmes.
- Contribute to audit, research, and quality improvement projects within the paediatric service line.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Paediatrics & Child Health from a recognized institution.
- Specialist recognition in Paediatrics by the Kenya Medical Practitioners Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Current KMPDC practice licence. Minimum five (5) years post-specialist recognition experience.
- Demonstrable leadership, communication, and IT skills.
