Key Responsibilities:

• Embed and implement the compliance monitoring plan of the company.
• Help ensure compliance with various internal policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with various requirements and regulations e.g., anti-money laundering, data protection, the Central Bank of Kenya (Digital Credit Providers) Regulations, 2022.
• Liaison person with internal teams and regulator on risk and compliance standards
• Assist in preparing risk and compliance reports for management and the board
• Support in addressing any compliance issues or concerns
• Participate in regular audits and assessments to identify and address compliance risks
• Support in providing training and guidance to employees on compliance matters as needed
• Stay informed about regulatory changes and assist in communicating updates to internal staff, management and the board.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, finance, banking, risk management, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory support role, preferably within the financial services industry
• Basic understanding of digital lenders requirements and regulations
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a good level of accuracy
• Certification in CPA, CISA, Analytics or related field is a plus.
