Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

• Overall in charge of all catering and kitchen operations;
• Planning menus and special functions;
• Supervising procurement and storage of food supplies;
• Training and appraising subordinate staff;
• Ensuring compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations;
• Preparing reports and advising management on catering issues; and
• Performing any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Served as Cook 1 or its equivalent for a minimum period of 3 years;
• Diploma in Catering Management, Hotel and Institutional Management, or equivalent; and
• Proven leadership and integrity in catering operations.
