Role Summary
We are seeking a driven and technically savvy Business Development Executive to help grow our market presence, engage new clients, and manage ongoing client relationships. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication and problem-solving capabilities, comfortable explaining technical products and solutions — even if they have not previously worked in insurance or SACCO sectors.
The successful candidate will focus on driving business growth through client acquisition, account development, and providing consultative support on product features, benefits, and fit for customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
Business Generation & Sales Support
- Identify and prospect potential new clients across target industries (manufacturing, industrial, retail, FMCG, logistics, etc.).
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and consultative discussions that clearly explain technical features and value propositions.
- Support preparation of winning proposals, quotations, and sales documentation.
- Drive the sales cycle — from lead generation, qualification, and negotiation to closing deals.
Client Relationship & Account Management
- Build, maintain, and strengthen strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned portfolio of clients.
- Understand customer business needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Ensure high client satisfaction through timely responses, proactive engagement, and follow-ups.
Technical Communication & Coordination
- Translate complex technical information into client-friendly language.
- Work closely with technical support and service teams to co-ordinate installations, service visits, calibration schedules, and post-sales support.
- Participate in site visits and surveys where needed to assess requirements.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product positioning and strategy.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, pipeline, forecasts, and performance in CRM.
- Provide regular reports and insights to management to support decision-making.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Technical Studies, or related field.
- 4 years’ experience in sales, business development or client-facing roles — preferably with technical or industrial products (insurance or SACCO experience is discouraged from applying).
- Strong ability to understand and explain technical products and features clearly to business clients.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a client-first mindset.
- Results-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable using CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite (Salesforce experience is mandatory) others; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
