Role Overview
- The Business Development Manager – Rest of Africa (RoA) role for Google Cloud is designed to drive strategic growth by identifying new market opportunities, building lasting partnerships, and expanding the adoption of Google Cloud products and services across the region through cross-functional go-to-market execution and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Research and analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform business strategy.
- Opportunity Identification: Proactively seek out new business opportunities and potential clients for Google Cloud solutions.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers.
- Solution Evangelism: Present Google Cloud products and services to prospective clients, highlighting business value and technical advantages.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with technical teams to develop tailored proposals and solutions for clients.
- Sales Enablement: Support sales teams with insights, training, and resources to drive successful engagements.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and report on a robust pipeline of business opportunities.

- Quality of business cases and proposals submitted
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field
- Advanced degree or certification in Cloud Technologies
EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years in business development or sales in cloud solutions
- 3+ years’ Experience with Google Cloud or similar platforms
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Deep understanding of cloud computing and Google Cloud offerings
- Strong business acumen and market analysis skills
- Knowledge of partner ecosystems and channel sales
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Negotiation and relationship management
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Google Cloud certifications (Foundational/Associate)
