Key Responsibilities
The primary duties for this role include:
- Formulating requirements and practices for compliance and governance within the insurance industry.
- Reviewing recommendations on licensing and approvals for industry members as per the Insurance Act.
- Overseeing strategies for the effective supervision of insurers under statutory management.
- Reviewing assessments of impacts from regional and international supervision trends.
- Developing and implementing frameworks to identify major insurance groups.
- Developing and continuously updating the insurers’ risk profiling framework.
- Formulating and monitoring policies for group-wide, cross-border, and international supervision.
- Preparing reports on stakeholder engagements regarding capacity building and emerging supervision issues.

Person Specifications
To be qualified for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: Nine (9) years’ cumulative work experience, with at least three (3) years at the level of Principal Supervision Officer or a comparable relevant position.
- Education (Bachelor’s): A degree from a recognized institution in Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, Economics, or Information Technology.
- Education (Master’s): A degree from a recognized institution in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, Economics, or Information Technology.
- Professional Qualification: Must possess ACII, AIIK, LOMA, CPA, CIFA, CFA, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Professional Membership: Membership in a relevant professional body in good standing.
- Leadership: A certificate course in leadership (minimum 4 weeks) from a recognized institution.
- Skills: Proficiency in computer applications.
