Job Purpose

To ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods while maintaining vehicle condition, compliance with traffic laws, and accurate delivery documentation

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies
• Transport goods to assigned destinations within agreed timelines
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) and report any faults or issues immediately
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and offloading of goods to prevent damage or loss
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including logbooks, fuel usage, and delivery notes
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules unless otherwise directed
• Ensure the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle
• Report accidents, delays, or incidents promptly to management
• Support compliance with company safety standards and transport regulations

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driving license (Class C and C1)
• Minimum of 3–4 years’ proven experience as a truck driver
• Minimum KCSE (Secondary School Certificate)
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and routes
• Clean driving record (no major traffic offenses)

• High level of responsibility and accountability
• Strong attention to detail (especially with documentation and vehicle checks)
• Good time management and reliability
• Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage (to identify minor issues early)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Integrity and professionalism
• Physically fit and able to handle loading/offloading where required
