Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and sew student and staff uniforms to required specifications
- Perform alterations, repairs, and adjustments on garments as needed
- Ensure all garments meet high-quality finishing and durability standards
- Maintain accurate records of measurements, orders, and fittings
- Manage fabric and tailoring materials, ensuring proper utilization and minimal waste
- Provide guidance on fabric selection, garment care, and maintenance
- Ensure timely delivery of uniforms, especially during peak periods (e.g., admissions)
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the tailoring workspace
- Support any additional garment-related needs within the institution
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Fashion Design, Tailoring, or Garment Construction
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in tailoring, preferably in a school, uniform, or institutional setting
- Proven ability to produce high-quality garments and handle bulk orders
- Strong knowledge of different fabrics, sewing techniques, and garment finishing
- Experience in uniform production and standardization is an added advantage
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment
