Our client is a pioneer in providing innovative shipping & logistics solutions and are part of a global logistics, warehousing & shipping group. They have retained our services to hire for Sales Executive to be based at their Nairobi
Office. Reporting to line manager, the sales executive will focus on building and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. Candidates are expected to have well developed
and demonstrable negotiation & analytical skills, numeracy & computing skills backed by good oral and written communication skills.

Reporting to the Line Manager, you will execute business development efforts leading to business growth by acquiring, managing, growing and retaining clients. The role will lead partnership strategies, oversee seamless logistics solution integrations, and deliver strong commercial performance, positioning the company as a trusted logistics solutions provider.

  • Identify new business opportunities and onboard business
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet company expectations
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries and concerns
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitors, and potential clients.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on market conditions and customer needs.
  • Negotiations and Contract Management:
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to secure deals.
  • Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Work closely with operations, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Prepare and present daily/weekly sales reports, forecasts, and performance to management.
  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the shipping or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of shipping operations, freight forwarding, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn about evolving industry trends.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment
