Personal Attributes

• A problem solver with a proactive and analytical mindset
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field
• 2+ years’ experience in network engineering or IT security roles
• Certifications such as CCNA, NSE, CompTIA Security+, or other relevant network/security certifications are a strong advantage
• Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and enterprise ICT security frameworks

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and other security solutions to safeguard organizational data and systems
• Monitor network traffic and security events, responding to incidents and mitigating risks promptly
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and address potential threats
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure integration of new technologies and solutions
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, security policies, and incident response procedures
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats, industry standards, and best practices
• Provide regular reports on network performance, security posture, and recommendations for improvement to the management team
