Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

  • Diploma (KNQF Level 6) in relevant respective fields of study from a recognized Qualifications Awarding Institution (QAI);
  • Been registered by the relevant professional body (where applicable);
  • Pedagogy and Practical experience in the relevant fields;
  • TVETA License

Key Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include: –

  • Undertaking practical/theoretical training in areas of specialization in accordance with the occupational standards and curriculum;
  • Preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
  • Setting and marking examination/assignment;
  • Carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer; and
  • Supervising trainees’ projects and practical work.
  • Any other relevant assigned duties.

  • Strong practical and theoretical mastery in relevant fields with up-to-date industry knowledge on emerging technologies.

  • Demonstrated passion for skills development, mentorship, and empowerment of trainees for employability and entrepreneurship.
  • UMTI specialises in delivering mobile vocational training. Interested applicants must be willing to work in remote environments and with vulnerable communities with high levels of illiteracy.
