Field Sales Representative (Lab Equipment) Job

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Actively promote and sell laboratory equipment, consumables, and related supplies within the assigned territory
- Identify potential customers including hospitals, schools, universities, research institutions, and private laboratories
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets
Client Relationship Management
- Build, maintain, and grow strong, long-term relationships with clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and support
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
Product Promotion & Demonstration
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients
- Educate customers on product usage, benefits, and value proposition
- Customize solutions based on customer needs and laboratory requirements
Field Visits & Market Coverage
- Plan and carry out regular field visits within the assigned area
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
- Expand market reach by identifying new regions and untapped clients
Sales Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and activity logs
- Track sales performance against targets and provide insights for improvement
- Maintain updated customer database and sales pipeline
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
- Provide feedback to management on customer needs and product performance
- Recommend improvements or new product opportunities based on field insights
After-Sales Support
- Ensure proper delivery and installation coordination of products where applicable
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and promptly
- Follow up on product performance and customer satisfaction
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in any field (science-related field is an added advantage)
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, or a related role
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
- Ability to work in a field-based role with frequent travel
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment/products is an added advantage
