The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Engineering teammate. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Engineering Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimates for jobsites that includes complete material take-offs and self-perform and subcontracted activities
  • Prepare proposals for customers that includes cost breakdowns, clarifications, scope of work and exclusions
  • Create pre-construction budgets to turn-over to accounting and project management
  • Support on-site personnel with change order management, creating change orders, adjusting budget and billing sheets
  • Generate job progress tracking sheets, assist with inputting data for progress tracking and monitoring progress tracking
  • Assist in procurement of materials based on customer supplied specifications
  • Assist in engineering, modeling, and creating fabrication spools and installation isometrics
  • Make work packages for on-site field supervision
  • Visit field sites for hands on engineering

Engineering Intern Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Invertor is a plus

Experience and Requirements:

  • Candidate should be pursuing a degree in civil, mechanical, industrial, or construction management
  • Candidate should have completed at least one year of the appropriate study
  • Candidate will be expected to work 20-25 hours/week during fall and/or spring semesters
  • Candidate will have the opportunity to work for 40 hours/week during summer
