Job Description

Kenchic is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician to join our team at the Thika Processing Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of plant electrical systems through timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute electrical repairs and preventive maintenance activities efficiently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment faults, ensuring timely resolution.
• Complete assigned job cards/work orders within set timelines and accurately maintain logs and records.
• Perform maintenance tasks in line with established procedures under the guidance of the Electrical Supervisor.
• Support the achievement of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets across plant operations.
• Participate in team and management meetings as required.
• Maintain a safe and compliant working environment in line with FSSC 22000, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical and electronics Engineering (Power option)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in plant operations, including at least 1 year in an FMCG environment.
• Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
