About the Role:
Power Group Technologies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to design and develop electrical systems for low-voltage (LV) panels. The successful candidate will be involved in the full design lifecycle, from concept development to installation and commissioning support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for LV panels.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings and schematics.
- Select appropriate electrical components based on project requirements.
- Develop complete panel designs from concept to execution.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOM), costing, and component specifications.
- Update and revise electrical designs based on testing, feedback, or project changes.
- Collaborate with mechanical and production teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Support installation and commissioning activities.
- Support project costing, technical bid preparation, and value engineering.
- Participating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning activities.
- Review project BOQs and support material optimization for cost efficiency.
- Provide technical support to sales and tender teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical design, preferably in LV panel manufacturing.
- Strong ability to interpret electrical drawings and develop complete panel designs.
- Experience in BOM generation, costing, and component selection.
- Practical understanding of LV panel assembly (electrical and control systems).
- Familiarity with IEC standards and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication processes (shearing, bending, punching, busbar) is an added advantage.
- Experience in costing, tendering, and BOQ preparation is an added advantage.
- Exposure to site installation and commissioning support is preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes and enclosure layouts will be an added advantage.
