Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya, for a Business Development Manager. The role involves conducting market research to identify opportunities, developing and executing go-to-market strategies, and fostering partnerships with local stakeholders, including commercial companies, enterprises, Governmental institutions and NGOs. The Manager will support clients in navigating the East African market, tailor strategic plans to industry-specific needs, and represent client organisations on the ground to ensure business growth and collaboration success.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in market research, partner outreach, and stakeholder engagement to identify and develop business opportunities
- 2-3 years of experience in the agriculture or health technology sectors is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build partnerships and represent clients professionally.
- Solid understanding of the Kenyan market, with experience working with public, private and development entities.
- Flexibility to work on-site in Nairobi County, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and cross-cultural collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Agriculture, Health Sciences, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus)
- Creative, fast-paced, and able to manage multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in English and Swahili
